For the past two weeks, a film crew has been making a training video at DIA to teach TSA employees nationwide the proper techniques for screening disabled travelers and their medical equipment.
The video crew filmed about 40 “scenarios” covering all categories of disabilities—mobility, hearing, visual and “hidden,” which includes travelers’ heart disease and other medical conditions.

It’s about time… they really can hassle you. And I wish they’d keep in mind that by the time I get to them, I’m exhausted and in pain.
The stories I’ve had from moms with disabled kids have been pretty intense. I hope they cover that too.
I’d love to see the “Things not to do” bit of the video – if they did that it’s probably (bitterly) hilarious.
