I’ve got an all day dress rehearsal tomorrow. We’re breaking for lunch at 12:30 and have been informed that we must change out of costume to eat – “no exceptions!” I’m not sure I can cope with two full clothing changes in a ladies’ room, so maybe I won’t eat. Another stupid idea. Maybe I’ll go out to my car to “lie down” and sneak food in costume.

Oh, for Heaven’s sake. I can think of several zillion accommodations for letting people eat in costume — but then, I’m just a mom, not a theatrical designer. *sigh*

I know – my daughter even told me to play the crip card, but I get tired of doing that.

In the event, it turned out that only the morning was a dress rehearsal, so I changed at lunchtime, and yes, I ate.

Actually, I wasn’t thinking of playing the crip card; I was thinking of all those folks having to clamber into and out of costumes. And I think all that climbing in and out of costumes makes for more risk to the stuff than eating. But, again, I’m not a theatrical designer.
