NBC doesn’t seem to have broadcast the wheelchair exhibition events. I don’t have cable or TiVo or anything clever; I taped or watched NBC Olympic coverage from 9:00 am MDT until 5:00 pm, then again from 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm. Aside from the somewhat interesting hour leading up to the women’s marathon, it seemed to be the beach volleyball channel.
My kids and I fast-forwarded through everything a couple of times, but no luck. I did see a wheelchair competitor in the background just after the men’s 100 meter.
I’m annoyed, and my day was seriously wasted.
Based on the linup on TV lately I think the only thing that would have competed for airtime with womens (or mens for that matter) beach volleyball would have been naked (or almost naked) wheelchair exhibition events. Such are the times. :-(
