This is the kind of newspaper reporting I find incredibly frustrating: Woman ‘forced to sleep in wheelchair’.
The gist of this story seems to be that in the UK, there’s a move on to avoid having people lift other people. That’s actually a very good thing – there are way too many injuries amongst nursing staff. What’s incomprehensible is that there’s no mention of the many very common mechanical and hydraulic hoists. Apparently they don’t have these things in England.
