Responsible (and Accessible) Travel

Responsible Travel screenshot

I came across a mention of Responsible Travel in an article in the Washington Post about avoiding overtourism, and checked out their website.

It was an actual, physical shock to click on the Holiday Types link and see “Accessible” front and center.

At first I thought, “Well, they’re using the word ‘accessible’ to mean something else.” But no! Click on “Accessible”, choose from the menu containing B: Blind or partially sighted, C: Cognitive issue, L: Limited mobility, W: Wheelchair accessible, and you’re off and running. Sweet! Someday hopefully I’ll be able to check out one of their trips. Ponies in Iceland, maybe? Cycling in Catalonia?
