Boulder EXPAND Paralympic Triathlon Training Begins in March

This is the wheelchair racing training program I did last year, and will be doing again this year.

From Boulder EXPAND:

Greetings from the beautiful city of Boulder!

We are excited to announce the city of Boulder EXPAND has been awarded an U.S. Paralympic grant to fund our 2nd year of triathlon training for injured vets and community members. ANYONE is welcome with a physical disability to join the weekly workouts and compete in the 10K Bolder/Boulder on May 31st and June 5th Longmont Sprint Triathlon. Please forward this information to your friends, neighbors, family, patients etc. EXPAND offers the ONLY wheelchair racing program in the state of Colorado. You can still come and workout with us if you are only racing, swimming etc. This program is FREE thanks to U.S. Paralympics!! You do NOT need to be Boulder resident to train with us.

So get ready to sweat, lose some weight, have fun, achieve your personal goals of finishing a triathlon. Your coaches will give you achievable goals for you to meet weekly. Bring your friends and family to train along with you too! We are always looking for volunteers to assist as well with equipment needs and rides.

If you are interested in working out with us, please contact Jen Heilveil to confirm a spot/equipment needs etc. heilveilj@bouldercolorado.gov or 303-413-7474.
