Wheelchair Kneading

It’s just like wheelchair dancing, except with less tripping and more bread.

Here’s how I knead bread: I have a large bread board, about 14×24 inches. There’s a gap between my cupboard drawer front and the cabinet door front at about 27 inches above the floor (if I ever get the frameless cabinets I’m lusting after, that will go away). My lap is about 26 inches above the floor. I put the bread board on my lap the long way, and wedge the far end between the drawer and cabinet door. Then I set the wheel locks (good locks required for this), and I have a stable, slightly upward tilting platform on which to knead bread.
